Logistics Resources
International is dedicated to advancing logistics practices and systems
worldwide. The group was founded by Dr. Ed Frazelle with a mission to help
clients help themselves in all phases of logistics master planning.
Seven unique features
differentiate Logistics Resources International from all other logistics
consulting firms - logistics focus, CONSULCATION, experience, expertise,
world-class metrics, methodology, and computer-aided logistics consulting.
Logistics Focus
Logistics Resources
International focuses exclusively on logistics. Logistics Resources
International's definition of logistics encompasses customer service and
order processing, inventory planning and management, supply, transportation
and distribution, and warehousing. Our logistics consulting services include
logistics audits, logistics master planning, supply chain engineering,
logistics systems design, project management, and logistics organization
design.
CONSULCATION
Logistics improvements can
only take place when logistics professionals understand an improved set of
logistics practices; and logistics professionals will only successfully
implement what they design themselves. With this in mind, Logistics Resources
International has developed a proprietary CONSULCATION problem solving
methodology. CONSULCATION is logistics problem solving through consulting and
education. Logistics Resources International designs an educational element
into all consulting assignments.
Experience
Logistics Resources
International is comprised exclusively of experienced principals
expert in logistics problem solving. The average experience level per
principal is more than 15 years.
Expertise
Each principal is
responsible for consulting, teaching, and research assignments in his/her
logistics specialty. This makes each principal a true and proven expert in
his/her field.
World-Class Metrics and Practices
Major breakthroughs in
logistics performance and practice come across industry and international
borders. To stay aware of new logistics metrics, practices, and systems
Logistics Resources International works in most major industries - apparel,
food and beverage, grocery, telecommunications, consumer products, retail,
service parts, automotive, textiles, chemicals, and electronics - and hotbeds
of world commerce including North and South America, Europe, and the
Asia-Pacific.
Methodology
Logistics involves a complex
series of interdependent processes, organizations, measures, and events.
Hence, the planning and problem solving process must be well-defined and
predictable, otherwise no stable, implementable
solution will result. Logistics Resources International's logistics master
planning and problem solving approach is based on a fundamental methodology
moving in each project through assessment, planning, and implementation
phases. The assessment phase identifies deficiencies and opportunities for
improvement in measures, processes, systems, and organization structures. The
planning phase identifies short and long-term recommendations, initiatives,
and project plans for new measures and goals, new process designs, new system
requirements, and new organization requirements. The implementation phase
guides the client through the realization of the improvements in metrics,
processes, systems, and organization identified in the planning phase.
Computer-Aided Logistics Consulting
(CALC)
Logistics Resources
International utilizes a series of PC-based logistics decision support tools
to improve the speed, creativity, and reliability of its consulting programs.
In addition, these tools may be left with the client to aid the client with
on-going logistics planning and management decisions.
